TOM Moysey filled his boots as Wimborne registered a convincing 106-7 victory over Southern Counties South strugglers Supermarine.

Moysey scored three tries and no fewer than 13 conversions as Wimborne romped to a 16-try success on their first visit to the Swindon-based outfit.

Matt Warwick opened the floodgates when he was driven over in a rolling maul before Scott Maidment (two), Moysey, Steve King, Andy Unwin and Richard Brokenshire also scored tries in the first half.

Moysey converted all seven to give the visitors a 49-point interval lead before adding an eighth after Alex Priest had gone over early in the second half.

Supermarine had no answer as Wimborne continued to score freely with further tries coming from Russell Tinsdale, Moysey (two), Maidment (two), King, Jimmy Brokenshire and Priest.

Wimborne: Unwin, R Brokenshire, Tinsdale, Best, Warwick, King, Napier, Foley, Llewellyn, Moysey, Maidment, Tarbard, Brown, J Brokenshire, Tryska, Atkins, Day, Priest.

  • Rob Saltrick’s hat-trick of tries helped Ellingham & Ringwood chalk up a 46-25 victory over London Three South West newcomers London Exiles.

Joe Evans (two), Josh Butcher and Ali Bennett also scored tries as the New Forest outfit, missing eight regulars, headed back down the M3 with an impressive bonus-point win. John Firkin added the extras.

Ellingham coach Phil Osman said: “It was a fantastic team performance and there were outstanding displays from Rob Saltrick, Shaun Soden and Ali Bennett, who has played well all season.

“What is particularly pleasing is that all three of these players, along with Adam Payne and Ben Warren, have come up through our mini and junior academy.”
