40mph limits and lane closures on A338 Spur Road are extended
REDUCED speed limits and lane closures on the A338 Spur Road have been extended until Wednesday February 22, it has been revealed.
Preliminary works have taken longer than expected due to recent fog and misty conditions, said a spokesman for Bournemouth council.
Work is being undertaken this month ahead of Bournemouth International Growth (BIG) Programme’s plans to carry out improvements on the A338 and at Blackwater Junction.
Major work is due to get under way in the Autumn of 2017 but this month there will be 40mph limits on part of the Spur Road and some lane closures between 9.30am and 3.30pm daily.
