THE Justice Secretary, Chris Grayling, spoke for many when he said yesterday: “I think most of the public will feel justice hasn’t been done.”

His comments on the manslaughter of Andrew Young, and the four-and-a-half year sentence handed to his killer Lewis Gill, came shortly before the Attorney General announced he would review it. The speed at which the government’s senior legal figures have moved shows just how important the issue is.
