A life is worth so much more.
The words of Allison Jarman after seeing a 21-year-old jailed for a year for causing the death by careless driving of her son, Mikey.
The incident “haunts” Joshua Sadler every day, he said in a statement read to the court. Sadler had only passed his driving test four days before the crash.
Mrs Jarman, in her own statement, says she relives the moment she was told Mikey was dead, every single night.
If any case demonstrates the waste of life that comes from young men driving without the care needed in charge of a lethal weapon, this is it.
