Bournemouth Echo: Not a way to do business Not a way to do business

THE long-running saga of the Pavilion Gardens scheme has taken a number of twists in the past few days. Bournemouth’s Conservative leaders appear to have lost patience with Trevor Osborne’s plan, believing it won’t materialise.

Other councillors have ‘called in’ the decision for scutiny at a meeting tomorrow night. Meanwhile, Mr Osborne is urging the council to get on with its compulsory purchase of the Exeter Road car park which would scupper the rival Licet scheme – all approved, funded and ready to go. The situation is a mess. And it’s no way to do business.

No mention of time clause elapsing with this contract, as it has, Osborne wants to resurrect his greedy scheme to FORCE Bournemouth to lease back a car park that is already there at £3,000,000 per annum over 75 years, nice work if you can get it.
JUST maybe this Echo could investigate WHO gave the go-ahead for this scheme and putting the blame firmly at the doors of THOSE responsible BUT I will not hold my breath !!!

Very well put. I just hope the Echo doesn't allow the Council to get away with censoring news of this on going story. We need to know what is being agreed in our name.
