Residents are urged to make a difference to the lives of local people by becoming Dementia Friends Champions.
People are invited to an induction day about the Alzheimer’s Society Dementia Friends programme on Thursday, February 16 at The Yenton, Gervis Road.
Dementia Friends Champions are volunteers who help tackle the stigma and lack of understanding around the condition which leads to people experiencing loneliness and social exclusion. Following the Bournemouth day, volunteers will deliver Dementia Friends sessions across the local area.
