Elizabeth Cutler-Calvert of Kinson, Bournemouth is appealing to readers to help solve the mystery of a photograph she has of Weston’s ( F.Wilkins ( 1930 ) Ltd ) bakery that belonged to her mother Mrs Linda Cutler (nee Seymour ) when she was manageress of the shop.
Miss Seymour, who is hidden in between the two ladies with pale coats on the right of the picture, met her husband and Elizabeth’s father there.
Elizabeth thinks the picture dates 1948 - 50 and could have been taken on the corner of Firvale Road and 192 Old Christchurch Road in Bournemouth.
Peter Kazmierczak of Bournemouth Libraries said there were over a dozen branches of the bakery chain in the area and the bakery itself was situated at 62 Malmesbury Park Road.
If you think you know the location of this branch contact Liz at cutler188@hotmail.co.uk or Echoes.
