CATS, dogs, rabbits, and even a horse are all in need of forever homes.

Staff from the Dorset-based Margaret Green Animal Rescue centres are hoping their pets will find loving new families.

Fred, a 12-year-old cob, has not been ridden much in the last few years and is just coming back into work, staff say. He can walk, trot and canter and jump small fences.

Pip, a seven-year-old Jack Russell, is described by staff as a “sweet girl with a lot of love to give”. She can be nervous when meeting someone new, but enjoys cuddles once she gets to know you. The staff think she would be happy to live with another dog and children aged 14 years and above, but not with a cat.

Another Jack Russell looking for a new home is Ollie. The six-year-old is active and enjoys nothing more than a long walk and playing outside.

He would prefer to be the only pet in his new home and would benefit from an understanding, adult-only family who have experience with terriers.

Finally, there is three-year-old Cockapoo Fee Fee who also enjoys being outside but can get anxious around other dogs if they become over-excited.

Like Ollie, she would prefer to live in an adult-only home.

A number of felines are in need of loving families.

Sooty is 13-years-old and is described as a “very homely boy” by staff. He likes fuss but also enjoys his own space.

Puss is 10-years-old and is in need of a forever home as his previous owner was no longer able to care for him.

He can be shy but is friendly once he gets to know someone.

Sabrina, 12, was nervous when she first came to Margaret Green, but is starting to settle down now. Her new home will need to be a quiet home with no other pets.

Tilly, three, needs re-homing as she was not getting on with the other cat in her previous home. She would need to be the only pet in her new home but should be ok to live with older children.

Four bunnies are also in need of new homes.

Nickel, who is only eight-weeks-old, is at the rescue centre with four siblings. Staff say she is a “sweet and inquisitive girly”, but has not had much handling so far.

Buttons, who is around eight-months-old, is looking for a forever home with a companion. He will need a vaccinated, neutered female to be his new friend.

And brothers Wyatt and Willow, both around a year old, are looking for a loving new home.
