Picture of the Day: Bournemouth Pier being rebuilt after the war
Gordon Mundy of Southbourne sent in this rare colour photograph of Bournemouth Pier being rebuilt in the late 1940s.
Piers around the country were blown up during the Second World War to prevent the enemy landing. The picture was found among family paperwork.
