Picture of the Day: H.Best haulage vehicle in Parkstone circa 1920
Val Burden of Parkstone sent in this photograph of a vehicle belonging to H.Best haulage contractor of Parkstone on its way to a parade. The picture was taken circa 1920 on the corner of Norrish Road and Churchill Road, Parkstone.
Her great uncle Harry Best is in the centre of the picture. Note underneath the axle is painted 'speed 12mph' and note the sign Williams General Dealer above the corner shop.
