Picture of the Day: Empire Flying Boats at Poole Harbour circa 1958
Colin Lambert sent in a picture taken circa 1958 of two Short Empire Flying Boats that had been mothballed at Poole Harbour after BOAC ceased flying from Salterns.
Colin is one of the boys playing in the hull, along with friends Andrew Hawkes and Roger Hatfield. They attended Hailey School in Westbourne.
