VOLUNTEERS are needed to take part in a live contemporary performance as part of the Poole Maritime Festival next month.
Theatre company Valise Noire Storytelling Theatre needs around 35 "enthusiastic, friendly and committed people who love to dance, act, move and sing" for the show, to be performed on May 18 and 20.
It starts on Poole Quay when an old sailing boat sails into port and a crew disembark, unloading their cargo.
They dance, sing and move in procession , sharing stories about maritime life.
Free workshops to create the show and recruit volunteer performers will take place this month, with those chosen returning for a series of rehearsals ahead of the performances on Poole Quay on 18 and 20 May.
Volunteers will also have the opportunity to take part in an exhibition launch performance at Lighthouse on May 25.
