The county was ablaze last night as beacons were lit to mark the Queen's 90th birthday.
Hundreds flocked to events across Dorset as the beacons lit up the sky.
James Thrift took pictures of the Shaftesbury event - which was complete with entertainment and food and drink to keep warm.
Beacons were also lit at Corfe Castle, Lulworth Cove, Sea View in Poole, Bridport and Lyme Regis.
