RUNNERS are being urged to get on their marks for next year's Studland Stampede.
The annual 12k trail race in the Purbecks which took place this year on Sunday, October 15, sold out in just 20 days.
Now organisers have confirmed that next year's date will be Sunday, October 14 and that online entries will go live from midnight on New Year's Eve.
Co-organiser Vickie Turner from Bournemouth said: βIt is so exciting to see everyone lined up at the start line on the beach.
"It really is unique to see runners racing along the sand at the water's edge. Then seeing them completely exhausted at the end but with massive smiles on their faces.
"It is so rewarding and makes the year of build-up all worthwhile for Julie (our co-organiser) and I."
Vickie added: "We owe a huge thanks to the fantastic local companies that support us each year: the National Trust, Dorset Flapjack, The Pig Hotel, JU-ICE-IT, Ocean Positive and Knoll House Hotel. We also had wonderful photos from Bella West this year, which captured some beautiful moments for the day.β
