Sandfest 2017 could not have wished for better weather or a more beautiful location on the beach.

Add to that some of the busiest and best DJ’s, Garage and Dance acts around and you had all the elements to make this one of the best open air club nights of the year.

Solardo, Big Narstie, Shy FX, Tinie Tempah with DJ Charlsey and a DJ set by Sister Bliss from Faithless were all on the set list and collectively delivered a day of entertainment that started in the early afternoon and went on into the night with no let up in the quality on offer.

Shy FX was probably one of the favourite sets of the day but every other act was right up there with him.

The arena was just the right size with everything needed to keep you going and everyone I saw was in the right mood and made it a good natured event.

The sheer amount of work required to put on an event like this really ha to be seen to be fully appreciated.

From getting the acts on and off site to working the bars and making sure there is enough medical support and security to look after the crowd is quite something.

Well done to Halo and everyone involved in putting on a great event that brings something extra to the town. Long may it continue.
