CROWDS of people dressed in tutus with neon bling and face paints were out in force for the Dorset Neon Run on Saturday.
The glow in the dark event was held at Poole Park in aid of Diverse Abilities Plus.
And everyone who took part got into the spirit of things with brightly coloured outfits and painted faces for the occasion.
Dancing, skipping, running and walking around the course, glow sticks lit the way for the competitors.
The 5km event was sponsored by Tesco Poole, who handed out snacks and fruit bars to participants.
Fundraising manager Ashley Weedon said around 340 people turned out for the event.
"It was really good, we were so pleased with it," she said.
"Everybody turned up and there were no major hiccups - it was a fantastic turn out and the atmosphere was superb.
"We wanted a sort of festival atmosphere and that's exactly what we got. People were really excited about it. Some people were there to time themselves but there were some people who just wanted to have a laugh."
Ms Weedon also said a big thank you to the volunteers who stepped up.
"The event would not have been possible without them," she added.
