Man arrested over collision that left 81-year-old with serious injuries
An arrest has been made in connection with a collision that left an 81-year-old pedestrian hospitalised with serious injuries.
The pensioner was taken to Poole Hospital following the incident, which happened at Macaulay Road, Broadstone, around 2.50pm on Friday.
In the immediate aftermath of the collision Dorset Police issued an appeal for information for a driver of a vehicle that failed to stop at the scene.
A police spokesman confirmed a 28-year-old man from Poole had been arrested in connection with the incident.
He has been released on bail until mid-November, pending further enquiries.
