Lifeboat volunteers were called to assist a 34-ft yacht after a rope snarled its propellor.
The RNLI inshore Poole lifeboat was launched at 4pm on Tuesday, after the yacht - with one person onboard - got into difficulties off East Looe, Poole Harbour RNLI lifeguards using their jet ski, were first on scene, and they were able to free the rope.
When the lifeboat arrived, the man was checked over and the crew restarted the yacht's engines.
The lifeboat then escorted the vessel back through the harbour as far as Brownsea Island.
