A DOG and its owner were rescued from waters at Poole Quay on Wednesday night.
Poole RNLI lifeboat volunteers were alerted to the incident by a member of the public around 6pm on Wednesday.
Crew members were at the Quay planning for their open day when the person told them someone had jumped into the quay after their dog and needed help.
The Inshore lifeboat launched, while others went on foot to assist.
Once on scene the harbour launch helped one person onto the pontoon at Poole Quay Boat Haven.
The lifeboat crew administered basic casualty care, before the ambulance arrived.
The dog was also safely brought ashore. The lifeboat returned back to station and was ready for service just before 7pm.
