A ROAD in Poole was blocked both ways after a crash involving a motorcycle.
Two ambulances, a rapid response vehicle and the air ambulance were called to Danecourt Road following reports of a crash near Walton Lodge vets.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said they were called to the crash at 6.42pm and the road was "completely blocked".
The motorcyclist has serious leg and chest injuries and was taken by land to Poole Hospital.
At the scene, PC Simon Fairholme said: "A male riding a bike up the road collided with a wall for reasons unknown.
"His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. He was taken to Poole Hospital and the air ambulance was cancelled."
The road re-opened just after 8pm.
