A 17-year-old boy was pulled from the water at Poole Harbour last night.
The Coastguard was called by Dorset Police just before 9pm on Monday to reports that a 17-year-old boy had entered the water at Poole Harbour near Hamworthy Park.
The RNLI inshore lifeboat and the Coastguard rescue team was launched.
According to a spokesman from the Coastguard, the lifeboat team rescued the boy from the water.
It is believed he was taken to an ambulance that was waiting back at shore.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said that the boy was transported to Poole Hospital as a precautionary measure.
They added that he is not believed to have sustained any injuries as a result of the incident.
