BOOKINGS for this year's Poole Harbour Boat Show are up compared to last year, organisers have confirmed.

The show, set for three days next month, has attracted a number of leading marine, boating and lifestyle companies.

A mix of past exhibitors and new brands have been confirmed for the free show. These include Boston Whaler, Cobra Ribs, Jetski Safaris, JL Audio Marine, Monterey Boats, Princess, Regal, Ribeye, Sealine, Searay, Rockley Watersports, the RNLI, The Watersports Academy, Weird Fish, Windy Boats, Quay Holidays and many more.

Poole Harbour Commissioners (PHC) chief executive Jim Stewart said: "The Poole Harbour Boat Show, in association with Sunseeker, has gained momentum on its first year with many high profile firms signed up to exhibit this year and the boat show team are very pleased with the uptake so far.

"An abundance of exciting new products and innovations will be on display at the show."

The event, held on Poole Quay, is hosted by PHC in association with Sunseeker.

Aside from the extensive exhibition, there will also be a number of water activities courtesy of local yacht clubs, and the RNLI will be playing a key role across the weekend.

The tall ship TS Pelican will also be alongside the quay and open to the public at dedicated times.

A boat show spokesman added: "The show will also have a busy schedule of entertainment which includes live music at the Sunseeker Sessions music stage.

"Musicians include soul and jazz 11-piece band Harry Hammersmith and the Flyovers, the Sunseeker Renegades and The Mighty Trumpet Company.

"A fireworks display, sponsored by Sibbett Gregory, will take place on Friday evening at dusk."

The Poole Harbour Boat Show is scheduled for May 20-22.
