A MOTORCYCLIST was taken to hospital after being involved in a collision with a car in Poole this morning.

Emergency services were called to Waterloo Road, near the Shell garage, at around 8.20am.

A spokesman from the South Western Ambulance Service said the male motorcyclist sustained leg injuries.

He said: “There was one male casualty who had come off his bike. He had suffered a leg injury and was taken to Poole Hospital for treatment. His injuries are not thought to be serious.”

A Dorset Police spokeswoman said the collision involved a silver Vauxhall Zafira and a black Yamaha motorcycle.
