POOLE’S Twin Sails Bridge has been closed due to a technical fault.
A Borough of Poole spokesperson said the problem was identified at 4.50pm during the lifting sequence.
She added: “There is a problem with the bridge and an engineer is on site to identify the cause of the fault.”
Traffic is being diverted via the nearby lifting bridge.
It is not yet known when the bridge is likely to be reopened.
