1,800 homes affected by power cut in Poole
SOME 1,800 homes and businesses were without electricity after a power after a cut hit the Tatnam area of Poole this afternoon.
All but 240 customers had their supplies restore within 45 minutes of the outage at 2.46pm. A spokesman for Scottish and Southern Energy said there had been a fault with the network at Stoke Avenue, and engineers are still investigating the cause.
Homes in Stoke Avenue, Sandbourne Road, Winterbourne Close and Jolliffe Road remained without power until 6.08pm.
