FIREFIGHTERS were called to a house in Poole today after a fire broke out in a garden shed.

At around 11am fire crews from Poole and Redhill Park were scrambled to Fitzworth Avenue in the Turlin Moor area following reports the shed was on fire.

The fire, which was out upon the crews' arrival, is believed to have started due to an electrical fault in a tumble dryer.

A spokesman from Dorset Fire and Rescue Service said: “It is thought that the fire started as a result of an electrical fault – it caused fire damage to the tumble dryer and slight smoke damage to the shed.”
