A TEENAGER living with Cystic Fibrosis has had her wish granted when she met Cheryl Cole backstage at the X Factor.

Faith Langley from Poole, who is a big fan of the show, was given the much-deserved treat by charity Rays of Sunshine earlier this month.

The sixteen-year-old, her sister Alice, 17, and Mum Kerri travelled to London to see the X Factor live boot camp auditions, where they was taken backstage to meet the whole judging panel of the popular television singing competition – including Faith’s favourite, singer Cheryl, as well as Melanie B, Louis Walsh and, Rays of Sunshine ambassador, Simon Cowell.

Faith, whose condition requires daily medications and treatment, and has seen her hospitalised for four weeks over the past year, had “a good old chat” with Cheryl, according to her proud mum Kerri.

She said her daughter had had a “tough couple of years” with more frequent bouts of ill health to contend with as she studied for her GCSEs.

“It’s definitely given her a boost,” she added. “Every time an advert for the X Factor comes on she beams. It has really given her something to think about other than her health. Everyone who walks in gets shown the photograph! It was a wonderful experience – something we’ll be grateful for forever, and certainly something money can’t buy.”

The trip on August 10 included a night in the Hilton Hotel, shopping and lunch at the London Designer Outlet, and tickets to the X Factor show at SSE Wembley Arena.

Rays of Sunshine Children’s Charity brightens up the lives of seriously ill children in the UK by granting wishes, and organising outings or large scale events.
