A suspected cannabis factory has been unearthed in a village in north Dorset.

Dorset Police swooped on the property in Milborne St Andrew on Sunday, June 25.

One person was arrested and a significant amount of cannabis was seized, the exact quantity and street value is currently being investigated by Dorset Police.

The 44-year-old man, of no fixed abode, who was arrested has now been charged with producing a controlled drug of class B and is due to appear at Bournemouth Crown Court on Thursday, July 27 2017.

Sergeant Danny Tamblyn, of North Dorset police, said: “I would always urge residents of Blandford and the surrounding area to tell us about any concerns they have over crime-related issues – whether this relates to suspected drug offences, or other related criminal activity.

“If you have any information or concerns in relation to suspected drug activity, please come forward and talk to us in confidence.

“We are committed working with the local community and our partners in addressing any issues raised by local residents.”
