A MAN was airlifted to hospital with potential life-threatening injuries following a crash in North Dorset on Tuesday evening.
Earlier today, Dorset Police said the casualty, who was airlifted to Southmead Hospital, Bristol, is no longer in a life-threatening condition.
Emergency services were called to the two-car collision, which took place on the B3145, one mile north of Sherborne, shortly before 9pm.
Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service, Dorset Police and South Western Ambulance Service attended, alongside the air ambulance.
Firefighters used hydraulic cutting gear to release the male casualty from a black Renault Clio.
A woman, travelling in the second car - a silver Ford Fiesta - was treated at the scene by paramedics.
Two fire crews from Sherborne and one crew from Wincanton fire station attended the scene.
