WIMBORNE’S annual Santa Fun Run will once again be held at the Badbury Rings point-to-point course.

The event, organised by the Rotary club, sees entrants running, jogging, or walking a course of either two or four miles in a Santa suit.

President of the Rotary club, Sue Young, said: “The annual Santa Fun Run is now firmly established in the Wimborne festive calendar, and we hope that people will sign up for what is always an enjoyable event.

“We can accept entries up to the day and aim to add to the £45,000 raised for good causes over the past seven years.”

Last year’s event saw 115 runners tackle the course, raising between them £5,000 for a number of charities.

This year’s event starts at 11am, with a warm-up session at 10.30am. The entry fee is £10 (£6 for children aged 8-14) and includes a Santa suit to keep.
