THE Ivor Bleaney Classic Car Day takes place in the New Forest next weekend.

Last year the event boasted 400 vehicles, everything from a Mini to a Rolls Royce.

This year one of the big draws is sure to be a Lincoln Continental limousine, which was built for American President John F. Kennedy.

This limousine, which is being sold by classic car dealer Ivor Bleaney in the region of £80,000, rolled off the production line in March 1963.

It was constructed to special order by the White House coachbuilder, Hess & Eisenhardt, and is a duplicate of the 1961 car which JFK was travelling in when he was assassinated in Dallas.

A spokesman for the classic car day said: "Anyone who brings a classic car that is over 25 years old and produces a voucher they get a free BBQ and drink with our compliments.

"There will be live entertainment from the well-known ‘Rat Pack’ singer Lucian during the afternoon, and in the evening there is live entertainment with the 60s rock group the Renegades and, of course, the JFK Lincoln will be on display."

Vouchers are available via ivorbleaney@msn.com or by calling 01794 390 085.

Everyone is welcome to attend the event, which is set for Saturday, September 16, from midday onwards.
