A WOMAN was rescued from her car after she attempted to drive through floodwater in the New Forest.
She was left stranded when the vehicle ground to a halt in Balmer Lawn Road, Brockenhurst, just after 4pm on Thursday.
A crew from Brockenhurst fire station rescued the woman and led her to safety.
It was the latest in a series of incidents involving vehicles getting stuck in floodwater where the road dips down under a railway bridge.
People living near the narrow, unlit road say floodwater under the bridge can be hard to see in the dark.
