POLICE were conducting a search of Ringwood this evening after a "suspicious incident".
Several Hampshire Constabulary vehicles were spotted by residents in the area of the Furlong.
A spokesman for the force said: "Police were called to Chaffey Close, Ringwood, after a report of a suspicious incident just before 7pm on Wednesday, December 30.
"Officers are conducting a search of the area to locate those involved. Information suggests this is an isolated incident."
The force has declined to reveal and further information about the incident, but has issued an appeal for witnesses who saw anything in the Chaffey Close area at the time of the incident to contact the Western Investigation team at Southampton Central on 101 quoting incident #703.
