POLICE hunting a robber who wrapped bandages around his face to disguise himself have released this CCTV image.

The man placed sunglasses on top of the bandages before calmly walking into Lloyds in Station Road, New Milton and demanding cash.

Officers have appealed to the public to help identify the man and have issued a detailed description of this clothing.

He also wrapped bandages around his hands before raiding the bank.

The robbery took place on Thursday April 16 at 3.20pm when the man entered the front of the bank, approached cashiers and demanded they hand over cash.

He then left via the entrance and made off up Station Road, turning left into an alleyway by Lloyds Pharmacy into the car park on Spencer Road. He got away with a small amount of cash.

The man police want to speak to is described as white, of medium build, wearing a dirty, light coloured jacket, navy blue baseball cap, aviator style sunglasses, grey jogging bottoms and white footwear. He had light coloured shirt tails hanging out from the rear of his jacket.

Detective Constable Steve Roman said: “I am keen to hear from anyone who might recognise the man in the CCTV or anyone who has any information about this incident."
