RINGWOOD councillors will be asked to consider a piece of rural land as a potential housing site.
At a planning meeting due to take place on Friday, Ringwood Town councillors will be given a presentation by Radian Homes on the Narrow Lane site.
A report to the committee says the housing association are 'keen' to provide more affordable homes to meet a local need.
"This site has been identified as a suitably accessible site, close to local services that could offer a sustainable form of development", the report says.
The site in Poulner could see 10 affordable homes with parking and gardens.
Development on the site is strictly limited to affordable housing for people who have a connection to the New Forest.
The meeting will take place at 10am at Ringwood Gateway.
