A PEDESTRIAN has been taken to hospital after being injured in a collision with a car in Ringwood.
Emergency services were called to High Street, close to the junction with Southampton Road, shortly after 12pm.
A spokesperson for South Central Ambulance Service said one ambulance crew was sent to the scene.
“One person was taken to Royal Bournemouth Hospital with neck and femur injuries,” she added.
A spokesman for Dorset Police confirmed its officers also attended the scene and that the pedestrian’s injuries are believed to be minor.
The road was partially blocked for the duration of the incident resulting in heavy traffic and long queues.
