REMEMBRANCE Day services will take place across the New Forest on Sunday.

New Forest District Council will be represented by the chairman, Cllr Maureen Holding, and leader, Cllr Barry Rickman.

Cllr Holding will be attending a service at St Saviour’s Church in Brockenhurst at 9.30am and a service afterwards at the war memorial on Sway Road.

She will then attend the parade and wreath-laying ceremony in Lyndhurst, beginning at St Michael’s Church at 12noon. From there she will travel to Keyhaven for 2pm to lay a wreath at the war memorial and attend a service. Finally at 3pm she will attend Milford on Sea’s remembrance service at All Saints’ Church and lay a wreath.

Cllr Rickman will read the Roll of Honour at the remembrance service at St Luke’s Church, Sway at 9.30am before joining the procession to Sway war memorial, one of only a small number of war memorials located on the open forest, where he will lay a wreath.
