A HISTORIC piano restored thanks to an anonymous donation will be played again as part of the Purbeck Arts Week Festival next month.
Musicians performing a recital at Kingston Lacy will play the Erard piano on Saturday, May 6.
The piano was restored and tuned earlier this year thanks to support from an unknown benefactor.
Guests will be welcomed to the National Trust property ahead of the recital at 6pm with a performance by young musicians from Purbeck.
Visitors will have an opportunity to tour the state room floor and speak with volunteers and tour guides before general manager Tim Turner gives a welcome talk.
Violinist Miranda Fulleylove, cellist Robin Michael and pianist Robin Green will then perform a recital.
Tickets are £50 per person, to include a light buffet and drinks.
