We asked residents what they think of the Christchurch Food Festival. Here's what they said...

Jo Tucker, 43, a scientist from Yorkshire, said: "It's fantastic, it's really nice to see local companies and a variety of food and freebies. It's connecting people with food."

Steve Race, 43, a psychotherapist from Sheffield, said: "It looks like there's a lot to see. It's interesting, I can't believe there's so much different food. I love flapjacks and there's a whole stall full of them."

Sandra Race, 71, a retired nurse from Sheffield, said: "It's really good, I wish we had more time here. I love the band, it really brings you into the festival."

Nicolas Hooks, 39, an optician from Christchurch, said: "Its pleasant so far, I come here every year, it's really good for the kids to try food they don't usually try."

Navid Hegan, 41, a technical consultant from Poole, said: "It's enjoyable. There's lots of things to try, it's good to come with friends and give your opinion on different foods."

Berewyn Long, 42, a civil servant from Bournemouth, said: "There's something for everybody. There's a good variety of food, it keeps the kids interested - and the adults! Donuts the size of footballs don't hurt either."

Rosemary Gladstone, 71, a retired teacher from Devon, said: "This is the second year we've come, there's a good, wide range of food. It's brilliant, we love it."

Ian Gladstone, 71, a semi-retired vintage car restorer from Devon, said: "I'm particularly impressed with the enthusiasm of the stall holders. It's excellent, the presentation of the stalls is so good."

Miranda Gridley, 69, a retired insurance worker from Christchurch, said: "It's fabulous. It seems bigger than ever. There are some fantastic stalls and plenty to see."
