THE emergency services were called to a crash involving two vehicles in Christchurch last night.
A call was made to the fire service by Dorset Police at 8.27pm with a report of a vehicle fire on the roundabout leading off Stony Lane onto the A35.
On arrival, they found smoke issuing from a vehicle, but it was not on fire and no-one was trapped.
Firefighters worked to make the vehicle and scene safe, before providing first aid to two casualties.
Police made a temporary road closure on the roundabout from Fountain Way which was then changed to leave one lane shut while the local authorities dealt with some oil spilt on the road.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said that they only had details for one of the vehicles which was a blue Ford Fiesta registered to a man from Surrey.
