A MAN was arrested after a two-car collision in Christchurch on Monday night.
The incident took place on the A35 Lyndhurst Road, near to KFC at 9.18pm.
The road was closed for more than two hours.
Police, fire and ambulance were called to the scene to deal with the crash between the two Citroen cars.
One of the vehicles was a purple Citroen DS4, registered to a Bournemouth address, while the other was a blue Citroen Saxo, registered to an address in Christchurch.
Officers closed the road between the Sainsbury's roundabout and Hinton Wood Lane on the Dorset/Hampshire borders between 9.45pm. It reopened just before midnight.
Dorset Fire and Rescue Service used hydraulic cutting equipment to remove the roof of one car to release two casualties.
They were taken to hospital by ambulance although their injuries are not believed to be serious.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said a 32-year-old local man was arrested over driving offences.
