A PROPOSED block of flats has received planning permission in what one resident has called "crammed mess" of a road.
Bournemouth council officers have given final approval to the landscaping of the scheme by Blue Bay Properties Ltd, which will see the demolition of two homes at 61-63 Christchurch Road and construction of a four storey block of 15 flats.
An objection letter from Carmen Romero of Wickham Road said: "Taking away more Bournemouth character for yet another block of flats on a road that is already a crammed mess."
In another, Susan Kyte of Richmond Park Road said: "This is a truly unique looking inter-war pair of homes that fit in with the character of the East Cliff area and they are the last remaining individual houses on Christchurch Road."
However officers stated that the scheme already has outline approval and there were no issues with the proposed landscaping.
