A MAN has been arrested in connection with an alleged burglary in Bournemouth.
The police helicopter assisted with the arrest, which took place after reports of a burglary along Clarendon Road, Westbourne, in which a car was stolen.
A Dorset Police spokesman confirmed: "Officers assisted by the NPAS helicopter attended and a short time later a 36-year-old Bournemouth man was arrested in connection with the incident."
The first calls were received by police shortly after 12.15pm.
Members of the public reported hearing the helicopter over parts of Charminster and Winton.
