DORSET-raised Holby City star Guy Henry has figured in the BBC’s first list of its big earners.
The corporation’s annual report reveals the actor, originally from Highcliffe, earned between £150,000 and £199,999 in 2016-17.
Mr Henry, who plays the surgeon Henrik Hanssen, also appeared in last year’s blockbuster Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, where CGI technology was used to transform him into the late star Peter Cushing.
The BBC’s annual report also revealed that Chris Evans is the corporation’s highest-paid star, earning at least £2.2million, while the top-paid woman, Claudia Winkleman, made £450,000-£500,000.
Guy Henry grew up in Highcliffe and went to Homefield School and Brockenhurst College. His father, Michael, was a straight man to Charlie Drake and Arthur Haynes, and his mother was a dancer who worked with Benny Hill.
In 2014, he told the Daily Echo how the job in Holby City had allowed him to make a down-payment on a Jaguar from Westover Motors.
Mr Henry is president of Highcliffe Charity Players, the company his parents helped establish in the early 1970s.
