LEGAL action has been taken against a group of travellers staying at a Bournemouth car park.

Seven caravans and other vehicles are at the car park in Park Road, off Lansdowne Road, close to the train station. They arrived late on the night of Thursday, July 6.

A member of Bournemouth council's parks team visited the site early the next morning to assess the situation and put security measures in place.

Andy Mcdonald, head of parks at the council, said: “There are seven caravans plus accompanying vehicles situated in Lansdowne road. We have already instigated legal action and will continue to monitor the situation.”
