A MAN trapped under a lorry in Bournemouth has been rescued by emergency services.
Police, fire and ambulance were called to Holdenhurst Road at 2.09pm after the crash, opposite the Texaco garage.
Police closed a section of the road between Wellington Road and St Paul's Road while firefighters worked to free the man.
The South Western Ambulance Service sent two ambulances and one rapid response vehicle to the incident.
A large crowd has gathered around the area, close to St Paul’s Roundabout.
Sergeant Fern Graham, speaking at the scene said: "A 66 year old man was struck by a lorry as he crossed the road and he became stuck under the lorry.
"He has now been released and is on his way to Poole Hospital with suspected leg fractures."
