FIREFIGHTERS were called to a flat fire in Bournemouth on Thursday night after unattended tea lights sparked a blaze.
One woman was led to safety by Dorset Fire & Rescue Service (DFRS), and taken to hospital suffering from the effects of smoke inhalation.
A DFRS spokesperson told the Daily Echo they received the 999 call, to the property on Purbeck Road, just after 9.10pm.
"We sent appliances from Westbourne, Springbourne and Redhill Park. The aerial ladder platform also attended from Westbourne."
The situation was all clear by 10.15pm.
"It was a fire caused by tea lights," confirmed the spokesperson.
