The Bournemouth Echo website reached new heights after recording more than 10 million page impressions for the first time ever.

We registered 10,246,822 views to bournemouthecho.co.uk last month - and for the fifth time this year we attracted more than a million unique browsers.

The first time we topped the million mark was January, followed by May, June, July and August.

Thousands of you flocked to find out what the all important weather forecast would be like during the Bournemouth Air Festival. The regularly updated story was the best viewed for the entire month of August with more than 81,000 page impressions.

Other stories that proved popular included our live coverage from the Air Festival with lots of you keeping up-to-date with what was happening in the air and on the ground via your mobiles.

More than 484,000 unique browsers came from mobile users.

We received more than 400 entries for our annual Air Festival photo competition, making it the most popular gallery of the month with more than 1120,000 views.

Other galleries you enjoyed looking at included pictures from the event itself, GCSE and A Level results day, proms and Aston Villa v AFC Bournemouth.

Speedway followers were able to get the latest updates on Darcy Ward’s progress after a serious crash in Poland with fans around the world showing support for the star.

Our sports team also continued to deliver rolling coverage from AFC Bournemouth’s first few games in the Premier League and football transfer rumours.
