A MAN was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a female PCSO at McDonald's in Boscombe this morning.
Police were called to the fast food restaurant on Christchurch Road at 11.10am after their colleague reported being “slapped across the face” while quizzing a suspect.
The assault allegedly occurred when the PCSO and her colleague were making enquiries in relation to a separate alleged assault and theft, which happened on June 30.
A 36-year-old man of no fixed abode was arrested on suspicion of assault and theft in relation to the previous incident.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said the man is also helping officers with their enquiries in relation to today's incident.
She added that the PCSO did not sustain any injuries as a result of the alleged assault.
