A PENSIONER who stole more than £100 of meat from Marks & Spencer has been told he’s reached the “last chance saloon” after being spared jail.
Thomas Mcardle Graham, 75, pleaded guilty to theft when he appeared at Bournemouth Magistrates Court yesterday.
The court heard Graham, of Christchurch Road, Bournemouth, had stolen £118 of meat products from the store on January 9. The pensioner, who has several previous convictions, was detained by security guards and arrested by police as he tried to leave the shop.
Presiding magistrate Mr Simms gave Graham, who is on an alcohol treatment programme, a six-month conditional discharge and added that this was his “last chance saloon”.
Graham was also ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge.
